We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to express himself through art. Arts are included in our daily curriculum, and children get acquainted with various mediums and methods throughout the year.
Music is critically important in a child’s development. Therefore, in addition to daily music in the classrooms and outdoors, the children gather weekly in the music room with our music teacher. Our music room is outfitted with a wide range of instruments and children are able to explore and play music with the guidance of the teacher.
Children's involvement in sports develops their diverse lifelong skills in the physical (a positive attitude toward healthy lifestyle), cognitive, emotional and social domains. This is why we have chosen to build a sports and gymnastics room at the JISchool. Gymnastics are an intrinsic part of our curriculum.
Eating well starts at an early age. Our chef has developed a healthy and well-balanced lunch and snack menu which insures the children’s nutritional needs are met, and encourages to children to have healthy eating habits.
Our international School and Pre-School is the first of its kind: children are able to learn multiple languages and learn all about their Jewish heritage, at the same time. Children are well-immersed in English, the primary language of our International school. The majority of the curriculum is delivered in English. In addition, French is used in secondary lessons. But what is unique to our International School is that a third language is integrated – and that is learning how to read and write in Hebrew, as well as learning basic Hebrew vocabulary.
Security within the building and through the playground offers complete peace of mind. Our building is equipped with the latest security technology and on-site security guards are active throughout the day.
In accordance with our Jewish core values, we establish a “culture of thinking”. This means creating communities of reflective, independent learners and the promotion of critical and creative thinking. We’re doing this by focusing on the following key areas:
We aim at helping our students become life-long learners; be knowledgeable and effective communicators; be thinkers, inquirers and risk-takers in learning; be principled and open-minded in spirit; be healthy and happy in life; be reflective, caring and balanced in their outlook; in short, to develop and fulfill their self.
Our goal is to develop an attitude of individual responsibility. We do this by living our values each and every day and by ensuring our students understand how they can positively impact the lives of others and the future of our world, through their own actions.
We offer an international, holistic education in English that provides a strong intellectual, physical, social and emotional foundation. A balanced, well-resourced international curriculum is complemented by a rich extra curriculum. Teaching encourages active learning, enquiry and creative thinking in a safe and healthy environment that helps ensure students are completely at ease.
We aim for an education community that works collaboratively to develop and maintain a school known for world-class quality. In practice this means we’re committed to recruiting excellent international teachers and engaging with the local community whenever possible.
The world is changing rapidly. Our aim is to develop world citizens ready to embrace whatever tomorrow’s world offers them. That means citizens who can live together peacefully, who are socially, culturally, economically and environmentally aware and that can make a difference in their global community.
Transport at an easy commuting distance with staggered drop-off arrangements and a carefully planned, the “school run” is an easy experience. A modern, safe and efficient school transport service is available before and after school for both rivers of Geneva.
Our school is an affiliate of the international Chabad Lubavitch institution that is dedicated to spreading over the wonders and rewards of Judaism throughout the world in a nonjudgmental and inclusive manner. This is our first mission.
Chabad today, is the largest and most dynamic unified religious, educational and social force in the Jewish world. The movement boasts more than three thousand branches in more than 100 countries on six continents.
Nearly a million Jewish children are touched via our schools, institutions, summer camps and extra curricular programs around the world each year. Our centers everywhere serve the needs of all Jews, no matter their level of knowledge, observance or affiliation.
